HOW TO CHECK IN WITH YOURSELF

Keep a journal:
⁃ Set aside a time each day to write down your thoughts and reflect on your past journal entries.

Ask yourself these questions:
⁃ How am I feeling right now?
⁃ Does my body need anything? 
⁃ What can I do to take care of myself today?
⁃ Can I do this on my own? If not, who can I reach out to?
⁃ Do I feel physically and emotionally safe?
⁃ Has anything changed this week?
⁃ Did something make me feel a specific way?
⁃ How can I improve this week?
⁃ Today, I will…

Practice mindfulness:
⁃ Meditation increases our ability to focus and relax.
⁃ Control your breathing to ground yourself in your body.
⁃ Develop a ritual. Rituals require repetition and decrease anxiety.
⁃ Practice gratitude and remind yourself what you are thankful for.
⁃ Take a walk and use physical activity to initiate your check-in.Keep a journal:
